"She has this personality of like a military officer. Strong, cold, and hard."
-Thorburn talking about Venture's personality
20th Hunger Games
Her Games would be described by herself during The 40th Hunger Games, "Yeah I know, the careers are usually hardheads. Its okay, don't let them hurt you. Your better than them. I remember the careers in my Games, especially the tributes from 1. They were very cocky, athletic, and self-centered. However, they died on day 10. Not bad, but I always kept my distance from them." She says."
During that year, the arena took place at the canyons, and her odds of winning that year were 7-1.
During the 40th Games, she would be a very supportive character during the book. She likes having Thorburn as company. She mentors this year's tributes with Gliese Dugald. In fact, she was Thorburn's favorite victor that year.
When being seen for the first time in person by Thorburn, she compliments on how good Thorburn looks. She also gives her advice on how to survive in the wild. When the careers are chasing Thorburn in the apartment, trying to attack her, Venture steps in the way and commands the careers to stop messing with her. This ultimately is the reason why Thorburn likes her so much, since she has the guts to stand up to someone twice her size. She also mentions her Games, specifically about the careers that were in the arena that year.
When Thorburn spills something, an Avox cleans the mess up. When Adiar, District 5's escort, shouts at Thorburn to not pick up her mess, since thats the Avox's job, Venture shuts Adiar up and lets Thorburn and the Avox clean up the mess. Venture joins Thorburn and the others on the couch when they are looking at the tribute's scores on TV. When Thorburn gets he score of 8, she pats her on the back for doing such a great job. When Thorburn is in the waiting room, about to be sent in the Games, she is given some last minute advice, on how to survive in specific types of arenas like cold places, deserts, etc.
When Thorburn finally wins, the two reunite and are neighbors in Victor's Village.
In one of the film places they used to shoot the first film, there were many pillars showing the names of each victor that won a Hunger Games. As expected, her name showed up on one of the pillars there, along with the other victors from her district.
