Its true. We spent one Hunger Games watching the players freeze to death at night. You could hardly see them because they were huddled in balls and had no wood for fires or torches or anything. It was considered very anticlimactic in the Capitol, all those quiet, bloodless deaths. Since then, theres usually been wood to make fires."

The victor of the 66th Hunger Games is Jackson Spidell at age 15. He is fromDistrict 10 as well. This year was hated be many, many people, and was probably the most hated Hunger Games in history besides the 74th, 50th, and the 75th.
Pre Games[]
During this time, he was mentored by Greir Rollo. This year, Iuvartus Templesmith was the Head Gamemaker.
During the tribute parade, Katniss remembers the tributes of 12 naked, covered in mine dust. Because of this, the two received 0 sponsors and died as a result, as their, "look" was unappealing to the Capitol's eyes.
66th Games[]
This year, the tributes were in a woodless landscape that was freezing cold. These Games werent very exiting, as most of the time the tribtes were huddled in a ball, shivering, others froze to death. These Games were considered, "anticlimatic", to the Capitol, since there were so many bloodless deaths that year if you count the deaths out from the bloodbath, as you'd expect. These Games were very boring since almost everyone except for the Careers were curled up in balls trying to sustain their heat. From that point on, many of the Games had wood to make fires, or to warm the tributes whenever they needed.
Also, a tribute named Titus, a cannibalistic tribute, killed his victims and ate their insides. This was also seen as very unsatisfying, since they had to censor most of his kills, as they were very gruesome. Its also known that Jackson killed at least one career during this time. Also, it is said that the tributes would survive off of dead animals, much like The 46th Hunger Games. The Other Victor to win this year was Maika Sheert.
