The 11th Annual Hunger Games took its place of a small, far-out tropical island nestled on the lush Caribbean Sea. Tributes experienced life-threatening pursuit from hostile gorillas, snapping turtles, and poisonous chameleons/iguanas. Landslides, triggered from seismic activity that plagued the island, nearly killing multiple tributes.
For the Finale, the island was revealed to be what was once a dormant volcano, having been altered by the Gamemakers to become active once more and distress the tributes, forcing them into hatches that would take them to a subterranean chamber where they would then be instructed to fight.
In the end, Mags Flanagan of District 4 came victorious and was crowned victor of the 11th Annual Hunger Games.
It was the first ever Hunger Games to have an arena based outside the Capitol Arena as well as the first to ensue a Victory Tour.
