Jackson Slidell is the last victor of District 10. He won The 61st Hunger Games at the age of 15. Before Jackson was reaped for the games, he worked as a cattle breeder.
The 61st Hunger Games
During training, he made an alliance with all of the tributes that weren't careers, to take them down. He was mentored by Greir Rollo.
During the bloodbath, he killed a female tribute from District 8 a machete. He then met up with his remaining alliance, (which was 7 people), and planned an attack on the Careers. This pack was able to travel faster, and get food easier. The attack was executed on day 15. This was was the longest time of no deaths, since the last death occurred on day 1. The remaining 3 tributes fought to the death, with the District 6 female swinging her sword into the boy from 6's chest, killing him instantly. During this year, he mentored Jeremy, the male tribute from 10. However, Jeremy would die on day 8.
The 75th Hunger Games
During the parade, Katniss sees Jackson wearing a cow outfit, with a flaming belt. She assumes this was attempt to steal Portia and Cinna's attempt to shine, but the execution of the tributes from 10 looked like a cheap knockoff. Katniss also mentions how the belt makes it look like that they're broiling. However, in the film, he wears a Greek inspired outfit. In the arena, he managed to escape the bloodbath and also killed victor Justin Hix. In the film, his pedestal is positioned next to Cecelia's. He managed to escape into the jungle. However, in the book during the second day he died in one of the 'Time Sectors' of the 75th Hunger Games from a large unidentified muttation that tore him apart. He placed 9th out of 24.

- It is rumored that his tribute partner, Tiffany Waxler, hated him for an unknown reason.
- He was mentored by Grier Rollo in the 75th Games.
