Geography & Climate[]
Much of District One’s territory is nestled in the vast Rocky Mountain Range, just above the Capitol. Because of these circumstances, District One’s elevations tend to experience more cloud coverage year-round due to the colder temperatures at higher altitudes. This may also explain why District One receives more snow than any other district in the wintertime.

Welcome to District One, the most wealthiest and one of three Career districts in Panem, responsible for creating high-demanding products Capitol citizens adorn themselves with: luxury goods.
Role in the Hunger Games[]
The Capitol, more often than not, favors District One and Two the most of food, wealth, and various more privileges of the sort. These factors allow District One to develop better-fed and stronger children than the rest of the districts. As such, District One and Two have produced the most victors of Hunger Games, eventually leading to the creation of the Careers.
Northern District One[]
Northern District One sports the rugged beauty of its mountainous landscape. The citizens here work in tandem to extract precious metals needed to produce Panem’s finest luxury items. However, the terrain of Northern District One never allows for big populations to thrive, leading to very rural, small villages that settle in the foothills of the mountains, unlike its Southern counterpart.
Southern District One[]
Southern District One is flush with affluent communities almost as astounding as the Capitol itself. A palatial plaza sits in the heart of the downtown area, accompanied with District One’s Hall of Justice. The citizens here are best known for their meticulous craftsmanship of gemstones, elaborate jewelry, expensive fabrics, and so forth.
