Augustus Braun is one of the last victors of District 1. He won the 67th Hunger Games at the age of 18. He was known as Panem's Favorite Son, and was also nicknamed, "The Cavalier Career".
67th Hunger Games
Augustus Braun was the most athletic tribute during the year these Games were held. He was a member of the careers, (as expected) and killed 2 tributes during the bloodbath. On the second day, he ran into the District 12 female, and stabbed her to death. On the following day, he also ran into the District 3 male, and the District 11 female, both who he killed with ease, since he was very strong. On day 5, he saw a sponsor fly in the air, and go to a tribute, in which he also killed, which he later found out when he looked in the sky to be the District 10 female. He took the supplies, which was a bottle of water. He didn't really need it, since he was packed with supplies. On the 8th day, a small pack of other tributes, comprised of the District 6 male and female. Augustus killed both of them with ease with his sword and axe, holding each in one of his hands. On day 9, all there was left were the careers, so the battled to the death, in hopes for them to be the victor. However, as we all know, Augustus wins the fight, but he got a stab would in the hip from the District 1 female.

Augustus Braun was killed during the Victors Purge, along with his family.
